Pakistan : At least 20 people killed as train crashes into coach carrying Sikh pilgrims near Sheikhupura
The accident took around 1:30 pm local time at a railway crossing near Sheikhupura which is reportedly unmanned.
There were 25-26 people were traveling in the coach, out of whom 20 had been killed in the accident. The victims include women and children as well. Following the accident, the divisional engineer was suspended by the ministry, according to the statement.
Pakistan prime minister took a twitter to express his message as “Deeply saddened at the accident this afternoon at a railway crossing near Sheikhupura which resulted in the death of atleast 20 people, mainly Sikh pilgrims returning from Nankana Sahib. Have directed that proper medical care be provided to the injured.“
