India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who flew to Nimu in #Ladakh this morning at 6:30 am, returned at 5 pm to Delhi. PM Modi has now held four meetings, including one on situation arising in Assam out of floods and landslides.
The visit comes as a support to the Indian armed forces two weeks after the deaths of 20 soldiers in a violent clash in the Galvan Valley, one of the conflict points across the border.
Modi arrived in Leh, the headquarters of the Indian Army’s 14 Corps, along with Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat. Besides Modi, Army Chief Manoj Mukund Narawane is also present.
